Developmental Coaching Clinics

LEVEL 1:  Oct. 7, 2018, 9 am to 12 pm

LEVEL 2:  Oct. 14, 2018 9 am to 3 pm

Bishop Manogue Catholic High School

Through the generosity of the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation there is NO COST to HSLL Coaches and families for these clinics!*

*You must register through the links below to attend free of charge. HSLL attendees should NOT register through the USL website. Valid US Lacrosse membership is required for registration and is the responsibility of the attendee.

The Level 1 curriculum is designed to introduce coaches and potential coaches to the responsibilities and philosophies of coaching and how to provide a safe and athlete-centered environment that emphasizes positive growth and sportsmanship. You’ll acquire the tools to teach rules, basic individual skills and basic team concepts to beginning players of all ages.

The Level 2 curriculum is geared toward coaching players who have an understanding of the basic skills and objectives of the game. Coaches also will learn how practice planning fits into overall tactical objectives for their season. Coaches will receive detailed instruction on building the tactical elements of their team based on overarching principles for offense, defense and transition.

If you've ever thought about coaching the game instead of just watching it, please plan to attend one or both clinics!

Air Quality Policy

Tribe,

Our Air Quality Policy is posted on this website, under Tribe Club / Safety & Health / Emergency Action Plan. It is provided, below, for convenience:

Air Quality - An AQI in excess of 150 will cause all Tribe sanctioned outdoor practices and games to be canceled.

AQI reading can be found here:  https://mobile.arb.ca.gov/breathewell/default.aspx?city=Truckee

Head coaches and Tribe board officers will determine if play or practice is safe

Additionally, coaches will keep us posted on their assessment as practices approach. In all cases, we ultimately leave the decision of whether or not a child should participate to the discretion of the parent. Air quality can vary within Truckee, conditions are subject to change, and each player's circumstances are unique.

Let's hope for clear skies for many reasons.

Hi Tribe,

As part of the Tribe's mission of making lacrosse accessible to as many kids as possible, we offer rental gear to those who do not yet have their own. This is primarily for our 1st-time players. Our hope is that players who are committed to the sport and know they'll be playing in the future will ultimately invest in their own equipment.

The Tribe rents the following:

  • Helmets - boys
  • Gloves - boys
  • Shoulder/chest pads - boys
  • Elbow pads - boys
  • Sticks - boys and girls
  • Goggles - girls

Players need to provide the following:

  • Mouth guard
  • Cleats
  • Protective cup

If you'd like to rent, here's what you need to know:

  • Cost: Boys = $30 with a $150 deposit
  • Cost: Girls = $20 with a $60 deposit
  • Rental fees may be paid by cash or check
  • Deposits must be made by separate check made payable to Truckee Tribe Lacrosse Club
  • Deposits are 100% refundable upon return of all rented equipment in good condition
  • We do not reduce the rental fee for partial sets if players only need some equipment
  • When: Tuesday, 9/4 / 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Wednesday, 9/5, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Where: Riverview Sports Park / Tribe storage container, lower field #3

Please remember, the Tribe is a 100% volunteer run organization. If any parents would like to assist with the rental process, please contact Jason Kuntz at

Thanks!

It's almost time to register for Tribe Fall Ball 2018. As in years past, we'll be getting underway with actual practices right after Labor Day. There will be both Girls and Boys programs for players of all ability levels. If you have friends who have been thinking about playing lacrosse, Fall Ball is a great introduction to the sport.

Age Verification

If you have registered your child to play, please spend a few minutes and age verify though US Lacrosse

Why Age Verification

US Lacrosse is working with youth leagues throughout the country to ensure that players are grouped appropriately to keep players safe and to help make competition fair.

Secure and Easy To Use

The new US Lacrosse age verification system is secure and easy to use. Age verification uses SSL technology, the standard for transmitting sensitive information online.

Steps to Verify the Age of Your Child

  1. Scan or take a photo of your son or daughter's birth certificate or state-issued ID.
  2. Click the button below and log into your USLacrosse.org account, not your child's.
  3. Upload your scan or photo to our online system.
  4. We'll review your documentation, record the birthdate in our system and then permanently delete your uploaded document.
  5. You'll receive a confirmation email, and you’re done. This is a one-time process that is good for the lifetime of your child’s membership.

Verify Now

You can also take a pic of your child's Birth Certificate with your mobile phone, and email that picture to:
